The Eye of Fenrir

It's done. FINALLY, it's done.
This is my final project for my Gr. 12 art class, worth 15% of our mark. We were supposed to do something that we hadn't done in class yet (No painting, drawing, printing or clay) so I decided to go with digital art. This is based on Norse mythoglogy, and the idea of the Ragnarök.

"In Norse mythology, Hati is a wolf that according to Gylfaginning chases the Moon across the night sky, just as the wolf Sköll chases the Sun during the day, until the time of Ragnarök when they will swallow these heavenly bodies, after which Fenrir will break free from his bonds and kill Odin."

So here, I've drawn Fenrir's eye, and inside, a reflection of the cycle that goes by every day and night. It's sort of Fenrir waiting (or even watching) for the moment where Hati and Skoll finally succeed and capture the the moon and sun, respectively, and he can break free.

Originally, I wanted to do something biblical, but because my teacher knows about my Supernatural obsession, I was worried that maybe she'd think I was basing it solely on the show. So I did something different. I've been working on this since November, where I first had the idea, and sketched it out. After that, it was an on and off thing. Whenever I had some free time, I'd sit down and work on it. I lost count of the layers I used (there were so many that I had to merge some to make room)
I'm quite happy with the result, and I'll be printing it out on a poster size sheet of paper to hand it in.
